Well the time finally came for Stephen Davis to get a massive glow up! We are super excited to share with you our new practice and what it now looks like. Every year for the last 5 years we have heard Vishal constantly say “Right guys, I’m going to do a refurbishment of the practice this year” until FINALLY in 2025 when Vishal said this sentence once again it was truly happening this time!
A Fresh New Look for Our Practice – Same Friendly Faces! 👓✨
If you’ve walked past our practice recently, you may have noticed things looking a little different. After several months of planning, dust, decisions, and a lot of excitement, we’re thrilled to finally reveal the newly refurbished Stephen Davis Optometrist practice.
The refurbishment began back in November, and like most renovation projects, it felt like a long journey. But after months of hard work, the transformation is finally complete this March, and we couldn’t be happier with the result.
Our Temporary “Italian” Eye Clinic 🇮🇹👀
During the refurbishment, we had to find a temporary home while the work was taking place. In what might be one of the more unusual chapters in our practice’s history, we ended up operating from an Italian restaurant called Il Bacio.
Yes, you read that correctly — eye care and espresso were almost on the same menu.
While we didn’t start serving glasses with a side of pasta (although the idea did cross our minds!), it certainly made for a memorable couple months. Thankfully our patients were wonderfully supportive and embraced the slightly unconventional setting.
A Bright, Calm and Modern Interior
Now that we’re back in our newly refurbished space, the difference is incredible.
The practice has been completely refreshed to create a bright, open, and welcoming environment for our patients. One of the first things you’ll notice is the new light-coloured wooden flooring, which instantly makes the space feel warm and contemporary.
The walls have been painted a beautiful sage green, chosen to create a calm and relaxing atmosphere the moment you walk through the door. The colour works perfectly with the rest of the design, giving the practice a fresh and modern feel while still feeling comfortable and inviting.
Throughout the practice you’ll also notice gold-rimmed mirrors, which add a subtle touch of elegance and help reflect the natural light around the space, keeping everything feeling open and airy.
A Stylish New Display for Our Frames
We’ve also installed brand new glasses displays, designed to showcase our frames more clearly and make browsing easier for our patients. Whether you’re looking for something classic, bold, or stylish, the new displays allow the frames to really shine.
Alongside this, we’ve added new desks and consultation areas, giving the practice a sleek, modern layout that’s both practical and comfortable for our team and patients.
Advanced Testing Rooms
Behind the scenes, the upgrades are just as exciting.
We now have two fully equipped testing rooms, each fitted with the latest, most up-to-date eye care equipment. This allows us to continue providing thorough and advanced eye examinations, ensuring our patients receive the highest standard of care.
Bringing the Outside In 🌿
To add a bit of life and freshness to the space, we’ve also installed artificial green plant walls, which bring a natural feel to the interior while keeping the overall look clean and modern. They complement the sage green tones beautifully and add a unique feature to the practice.
New Space, Same Friendly Team
While the practice may look completely different, one thing hasn’t changed at all — the team. You’ll still see the same familiar faces who have always been here to look after your eye care.
